Packaging and Assembly Operator

We are seeking a reliable Packaging and Assembly Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in applying materials onto products to fulfill orders, paying close attention to detail and following instructions meticulously. This role requires ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the packaging and assembly department.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10:00 PM 6:00 AM

• Starting Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Essential Duties:

• Operate standard equipment, including basic hand tools, to complete packaging and assembly tasks.

• Ensure accurate counting and verification of completed tasks.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure products/materials are packed and assembled correctly.

• Interpret written instructions and assembly plans accurately, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills.

• Report any quality issues or equipment malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.

• Proficiently create and apply correct labels to finished stock and materials.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging and assembly department to uphold a safe and efficient work environment.

• Operating a forklift

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Ability to lift and stack cartons weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working on concrete floors.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• Basic math skills to ensure accurate counting and measurement.

• Experience with basic hand tools preferred.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment, including OSHA regulations.

• Experience with Infor LN system or similar ERP systems.

• Certification to operate heavy machinery, such as a forklift.

Working Conditions:

• Physical Demands: This role involves lifting, standing, and walking on concrete floors.

• Work Environment: Manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient temperatures.
