    Paynesville Area Community Education is in search of a PACC Assistant.

    PT Day, Evening, and Weekend hours

    Flexible hours

    Free PACC Membership if hired

    Age 16-18 (in High School)

    JOB SUMMARY:

    To assist the PACC Supervisor and Community Education Staff in providing a welcoming atmosphere for

    members, patrons, and building users. Provides support to the PACC Supervisor to maintain a safe and

    clean environment for all users of the building.

    ASSIGNMENT: Part time Days, Evenings, and Weekends

    MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

    40% Cleaning Duties

    A. Assist with mopping, sweeping, and overall cleanliness of Fitness Center/PACC

    B. Assist with dry mopping and sweeping of PACC, wrestling room, and multi-purpose rooms

    C. Assist with lobby cleanliness (wiping tables, windows, garbages,etc)

    D. Restock paper products and wipes when needed

    30% Customer Service

    A. Ensure members, patrons and building users are greeted and helped when needed

    B. Assist with tours and information

    C. Assist with front desk management

    D. Has general knowledge on how to use Gym Assistant in order to assist patrons with their memberships

    30% Building Supervision

    A. Ensure groups, members and patrons are using the space appropriately .

    B. Assist with set up and take down of equipment, bleachers, tables, scoreboards etc.

    C. Helps maintain a safe environment

    D. Helps enforce PACC/Fitness Center policies and procedures.

    E. Reports equipment malfunctions, membership issues, emergency situations, etc. to PACC Supervisor.

    CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE

    Physical Involvement:

    A. Position requires prolonged position in any combination of body postures, such as squatting, stooping, bending (both sitting and standing), kneeling, or sitting.

    B. Position may occasionally exert in excess of 50 lbs. during set up or tear down of activities (occasionally).

    Mental Involvement:

    A. Position requires reading and explaining directions.

    B. Position requires meeting individual needs of members and patrons while exhibiting patience.

    C. Position requires handling multiple tasks.

    D. Position requires dealing with interruptions and distractions.

    E. Position requires occasional priority changes.

    F. Position requires taking directions from several sources.

    G. Position requires maintaining flexibility.

    H. Position requires occasional deadlines.

    Working Conditions:

    A. Occasional exposure to bodily fluids and airborne pathogens.

    B. Occasional lifting of materials and equipment.

    C. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and noise.

    Supervision of Other Employees:

    A. This position will have occasional supervision or work direction to PAWS Assistants (High School Staff) who may be assigned to the group.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    A. Must be age 16 or older

    Experience:

    A. Prior experience within a preferred but not required.

    Special Knowledge or Skills:

    A. Ability to work effectively with members, patrons and building users in a positive manner.

    B. Ability to communicate effectively.

    C. Ability to read and understand directions.

    E. Have basic math and language skills.

    F. Have basic computer skills.

    G. CPR, First Aid training preferred.

    Equipment, Machines, Tools, Electronic Devices, Software:

    A. Photocopier used on an occasional basis.

    B. Calculator used on an occasional basis.

    C. Computer and printer used on an occasional basis.

    D. Multiline telephone used on an occasional basis.

    E. Keyboard used on an occasional basis.

    F. ChromeBooks, LapTops, and Ipad used on occasional basis

    G. Walkie Talkies used frequently/daily.
