Outside Sales Representative

Santa Monica Seafood Company is a family-owned seafood processor and distributor with a legacy dating back to 1939.  From our humble beginnings on the Santa Monica pier, the company has become a trusted industry leader, renowned for our seafood knowledge and innovation.  Outstanding customer service is our hallmark.  

 We are seeking sales professionals in the metro Las Vegas, NV region to join our team who can help us drive sales and achieve our planned growth through understanding our products and the needs of our customers. 

Responsibilities:

·     Research and locate new opportunities to sell seafood products by visiting existing and new customers.

·     Analyze customer business opportunities by identified vertical markets.

·     Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.

·     Planning skills on Menu ideas and Plate costing.

·     Maintain order guides and pricing files using product and/or customer analysis and comparisons.

·     Keep informed of new products, and other general information of interest to customers.

·     Participate in developing long and short-range sales and marketing plans. Conduct training sessions for key clients and their staff.  Develop marketing and ad strategies for restaurant clients.

 Qualifications:

·       Foodservice background (distributor, restaurant, hotel)

·       Culinary background

·       Customer service background

·       Bachelor’s degree or related experience

·       Willing to travel within assigned territory.

·       Ability to speak Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, other language strongly preferred

 Pay-Benefits:

You will enjoy a competitive starting annual base salary of $85k, with the opportunity to move to a commission structure as you grow your book of business.  In addition we offer excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision, short/long term disability, life insurance, and 401(k) with generous employer match that immediately vests. We will also provide training in our systems and products.
