We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Residential Generator Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing residential generator sales in Central Iowa including: new home standby generators, automatic transfer switches and associated service/maintenance contracts. You will play a crucial role in educating customers about the benefits of generator systems and how they can enhance their quality of life. This position requires a strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to understand their energy needs and provide tailored solutions. As a Residential Generator Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of products and contribute to the growth of our company by driving sales in a vital market segment. Reports to: Sales Manager
Proven experience in sales, preferably in residential products or energy solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
A self-motivated and goal-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with residential generator products or related technical knowledge is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills to manage leads, follow-ups, and customer interactions efficiently.
A valid driver's license and willingness

Conditions vary based on the customer location and may include construction, warehouse, manufacturing, office, or external environments. Some activities may include walking, standing, climbing in various conditions including extreme heat or cold. Essential functions will require travel to customer locations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer energy requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Present product demonstrations and sales pitches to potential clients, showcasing the benefits of our residential generator systems.
Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to customer.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the generator market.
