Job Title: Press Operator

Job Description

We are a contract manufacturer and packager of cleaning products with two plants. Our liquid plant is located at 78 Titan and our dry powder plant at 104 Jutland. We are seeking a dedicated Press Operator to work on a new line that presses powder into hockey puck-shaped products for pool cleaning. The Press Operator will oversee product quality and ensure the machine operates to standard. They will also assist on other lines when their machine is not running.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the product line, instructing 3-8 laborers as needed.

• Set up the line for daily production, including minor adjustments with basic tools (e.g., Allen keys, ratchets, wrenches).

• Organize and prepare products and bulk ingredients according to job lists.

• Oversee product quality by performing regular checks every 30 minutes to 1 hour.

• Direct and manage other workers confidently.

• Lift up to 30lbs as needed.

• Assist with loading labels, boxes, and other materials into the line.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of press machine operating experience.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

• Experience in machine setup and maintenance.

• Experience managing others.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with chemicals or chemical knowledge.

• Experience performing changeovers on machines.

• Ability to work on multiple shifts and train across them.

Work Environment

The work environment can be loud when machines are running, but it is generally very clean. Handling powdered products may result in minor dust presence, and products may have fragrances. Some areas might be slightly cramped. We provide a large lunch room and a casual dress code. Candidates must be open to working two or three shifts, with full availability for day, afternoon, and night shifts. Shift timings are: Days: 6:45am - 3:15pm, Afternoons: 2:45pm - 11:15pm, Nights: 10:45pm - 7:15am.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00
