    kSARIA is currently seeking an experienced Ship Repair Operations Site Manager for its San Diego, CA based field office in support of US NAVY ship repair, maintenance and modernization projects. The successful candidate will be kSARIA's primary on-site interface with the customer responsible for the project management of multiple C5ISR and HM&E projects with full accountability and responsibility for on-time and on-budget completion of projects. Excellent communications skills, written and verbal, are a must for this position. A minimum of 10 years of previous project management experience in ship repair, maintenance and modernization of US Navy ships along with a proven track record for successful completion of projects is required. Plan, coordinate and manage assigned employees across multiple projects for the on-time and on-budget successful completion of projects.

    • Review project SOW, drawings and all technical project documents to ensure a clear understanding of work scope and proposal documents
    • Ensure projects are appropriately staffed for meeting project requirements
    • Identify, assess and analyze any potential project risks and develop effective risk mitigation plans to eliminate or minimize risk
    • Develop comprehensive project Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) schedules based on customer's overall project schedule and milestones requirements
    • Actively monitor and inspect project teams' job progress to ensure compliance with all schedule, quality and safety requirements
    • Provide weekly project status updates and estimates to complete using project POA&M
    • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with customers and government representatives through clear and concise communication of project status and project issues that have the potential to negatively impact schedule and cost.
    • Ensure that changes in work scope and all identified project issues with the potential of negatively impacting schedule and cost are properly documented via Condition Found Reports (CFRs) and submitted in a timely manner for customer and government inputs
    • Work closely with the estimation department to review RFP's and change order requests for the determination of material and labor requirements for the development of cost estimates
    • Work closely with kSARIA's QA Manager to develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and communicate all potential job hazards to project personnel to assure the highest level of safety is maintained throughout the project.
    • Participate in Business Development activities with local area shipyards and contractors.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 10 years of previous operations management experience in ship repair, maintenance and modernization of US Navy ships along with a proven track record for successful completion of projects
    • In Depth understanding of US NAVY ship's radar, communications, navigational and combat systems interconnectivity and cable plant installation and process requirements
    • Must be willing to travel, coordinate and manage out-of-state ship repair, maintenance and modernization projects as the need arises
    • Must be able to work weekends and off shift hours as necessary to ensure project schedule completion requirements
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance security and obtain required credentials for access to multiple military bases as well as public and private shipyards.

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline associated with ship repair, maintenance and modernization. Career Military experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

    $125k - $150k DOE
