Description
SAIC is seeking a Operations Manager to support a large federal government agency. Under the direction of the overall PM, this position will manage the performance of a functional service area as part of a larger program.
This position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours. It is considered hybrid and onsite work is required Tues-Thurs. However, employee may be required to go onsite more often and provide after-hours and weekend support during planned or emergency events.
Description of Duties:
Manage a 24x7 team of technicians, across three shifts, providing support to an enterprise-level, global IT infrastructure.
Responsible and accountable for cost, schedule and performance standards.
Manage schedules, set specific duties and responsibilities, monitor team performance, provide feedback and corrective action plans.
Establish operational objectives and work plans in coordination with government leadership, and delegate assignments to subordinates.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Education:
Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
Experience managing 20 or more program staff including direct labor, subcontractors and suppliers.
Experience in personnel management. Possesses the ability to develop leadership and management skills that require mentoring and feedback from supervisors.
Ability to escalate program issues to management for assistance. Provide input to corporate activities including performance reviews, compensation-related actions, and staffing and hiring recommendations. Raise personnel issues to appropriate internal support elements.
Ability to act independently while routinely being reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and content.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivation, professional demeanor and accountability.
Required Clearance:
US Citizenship.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:
ITIL Foundations Certification.
PMP Certification.
Risk Management.
Earned Value Management (EVM).
Technology Business Management (TBM).
Experience with ISO-2000 or equivalent.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
