    You will be the Operations Engineer Senior for the Continuous Improvement Team. Our team is responsible for delivering breakthrough capabilities and process improvement through the product lifecycle. T

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the Operations Engineer Senior, you will:

    • Analyze the business and reduce waste across multiple aspects of the business as an Operation Engineer using proven LSS principles.

    • Oversee process improvement efforts, ensuring implementation and sustainment while demonstrating results.

    • Be accountable for project identification, prioritization, and achievement by applying the models, methods, and standards available, including Visual Management Systems, KPI Metric boards and Tools aligned with plant, department, and program objectives using a "Go and See" approach.

    • Average of 5% or less travel

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, teach, and coach lean principles to all levels of the organization.

    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of CI initiatives.

    • Develop the organization's employees in variation reduction and process control

    • Work with senior management project champions and other Belts in supporting, leading, communication, prioritization, and driving the execution of projects through completion.

    This position typically requires 4+ years of professional experience with a bachelors and 2+ with a Masters degree.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a completed bachelors degree in engineering, business, finance or similar

    • Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

    • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.

    • Capable of influencing and getting cooperation and action from others.

    • Present corrective actions and process improvements to internal and external audiences

    • Experience briefing status to upper-level management

    • Experience leading continuous improvement projects

    • Experience using RCCA tools such as FMEA, Pareto, 5 Why, 8D, and Fishbone

    • Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a large portfolio of cross functional projects.

    • Experience working in Quality, Production, or similar

    • Experience developing business cases and cost savings packages

    • Analyze defect data and implement data driven corrective actions

    • Drive continued improvement of the quality system and manufacturing processes

    • Understanding of IS09001/AS9100 and related QMS standards

    • Understanding of Windows environment including standard Microsoft Office tools is required

    • Must have the ability to travel approximately 5%

    Desired Skills:

    • Lean/Six Sigma training (Black Belt)

    • OET/PMT or self-directed work team experience

    • Experience collaborating across many organizations, a passion for Continuous Improvement, and driver to get things done

    • Experience developing, monitoring and/or reporting metrics related to cost, quality, safety, and schedule performance specific to standard cost and fixed priced models

    • Ability to facilitate training for both Green or Black Belt training/certification

    • Effective team player, good coaching skills and can develop other co-workers

    • Ability to encourage and motivate others to be successful

    • Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and statistical software.

    • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics

    • Train early career professionals within the team

    • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is preferred

    Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
