Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in Redmond, WA. The position reports to the Vice President/General Manager, Pacific Northwest Materials. Develop and maintain a business, commercial advisory, and support function, which will primarily contribute to the strategic development of the business. Provide enhancement of the operational activities by providing management with insightful commercial advice, accurate, timely analyses of financial and accounting data, undertaking research into asset utilization, and generating recommendation on company growth and performance.

What You'll Get to Do:
Provide business/market analysis and pricing analysis including cost /per unit, net margins, gross margin, and cash flows, to support the GM/VP, PNW and the Operational Management Team, in business strategies and planning.
Development personnel for ongoing technical and management competence development.
Provide financial evaluations, business case analysis (Capex Investment Appraisal - Acquisitions and Divestments) and assess key performance indicators as part of the strategic development of the business.
Conduct business and commercial financial evaluations to support management decisions and provide general regional business and commercial management support.
Maintain and foster effective relationships with internal customers and corporate functions.
Provide the Management team with timely and accurate interpretive and predictive financial information using financial analysis.
Assist to establish monthly and annual financial budgets and targets.
Participate with the development of capital project financial analysis and reporting in concert with regional analysts, operations, sales, and management.
Prepare reports for distribution to regional and operations management for their use and review.
Provide month end cost of sales reporting including reconciliation of raw materials purchases, inventory, and production along with supporting backup information for journal entry.
Verify financial statement accuracy, generate, and maintain Essbase reporting to be used in financial statement and business performance analysis.
Assist management in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual operations forecasts and operating plans.
Participate/lead in special projects.
Assist in preparing presentations as needed.
Essential Experience and Skills:
A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Business, Finance).
Three to five years analysis experience in an operational environment.
Strong problem solving, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated financial analysis skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and financial software (knowledge of Essbase, JDE and SAP software a plus).
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail, ability to reconcile financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Able to manage multiple requests and priorities and work within established deadlines, internal processes, and policies.
Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
Ability to work extended hours to meet key deadlines.
Construction and/or Materials industry a plus.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Work is primarily conducted in an office setting.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and computer systems; visual acuity required to read, verify, and enter various data from documents related to the work.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
Full-time physical presence in the office, Monday through Friday.
