Job Summary
Operational Technology Specialists provide technical expertise & support for Electric Energy Management System, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) infrastructures including identified Critical Cyber Assets systems. The Specialist ensures the reliability, performance, integrity, and recoverability of the identified Cyber Asset hardware, operating systems, and/or associated applications. Where applicable, all supported systems will be implemented and supported in compliance with the requirements of the NERC CIP standards as well as internal corporate policies. The Specialist troubleshoots and resolves system issues; continually improves system designs and provides 24x7 support for emergent situations & handles them effectively.
Energy Management System Support responsibilities include technical expertise of critical application troubleshooting and modeling of the systems supporting the electric environment.
Operations Software and Application Development responsibilities include including development and enhancement of applications that support the Operational Technology electric environment.
Network and Security Support responsibilities include the design, development and implementation of network operations, network architecture, and network security, solutions and monitoring capabilities.
Infrastructure Support responsibilities include including Server, Desktop, VMware, Citrix and SAN administration, Directory server management.
Essential Functions
Performs all required operational maintenance and troubleshooting of supported systems.
Works with vendors, application developers, database administrators, corporate IT, and other technology groups to resolve problem
Assists in the design and development of System implementations.
Evaluates and tests software changes and updates supplied by vendors, prior to installation.
Conducts routine hardware and software audits of all supported systems to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and requirements.
Maintains appropriate change management documentation for all hardware and software modification.
Participates in disaster recovery planning, development, exercises, and actual events.
Requires significant day-to-day direction and general supervision
Participates in projects as a team member
Understands compliance standards and applicability to job
Participates in business and technical direction setting discussions.
Supports tactical break-fix situations
Required Qualifications For Position
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Technolgy, Information Technology, Electrical Enginering Technology
less than 1 year Up to two years of experience in an IT Environment
Excellent planning and organizational skills High
Strong verbal & written communication skills and the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively in ways that are appropriate for the audience. High
Ability to work well with across disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience. Medium
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite Medium
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Technolgy, Information Technology, Electrical Enginering Technology
Related experience in the utility industry

Salary Range:
$65,900.00 - $99,000.00
