  • The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for an open rank faculty position in the Division of Neuromuscular Disorders. The incumbent will join a division with a long tradition of superior clinical care and research. The faculty within the division have diverse interests spanning peripheral neuropathies, neuromuscular junction disorders, myopathies, and motor neuron diseases. The division has strong collaborations with multidisciplinary centers as well as strong core labs to support basic science, translational and clinical research.

    The incumbent will participate in the treatment of patients with neuromuscular disease in inpatient and outpatient settings and take an active role in the education and training of medical students, Clinical Neurophysiology/EMG and Neuromuscular Medicine fellows and neurology residents.

    Qualified applicants must have an MD, DO or other equivalent terminal degree, be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology and have successfully completed a Neuromuscular or Clinical Neurophysiology/EMG track fellowship.
