  • The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia, seeks candidates for an Open Rank, Open Track Clinical Faculty position, with a multi-disease subspecialty focus. Clinical Track, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications. This academic generalist position will primarily focus on 2-3 disease sites from the available disease teams including head and neck, melanoma, GI, breast and thoracic neoplasms.

    The successful candidate will strengthen the clinical research efforts by enrolling patients into clinical trials via the excellent clinical/translational research opportunities and resources available at the University. Additionally, the incumbent will attend inpatient and outpatient services and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center. As an integral part of the educational mission, the incumbent will actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students.

    Candidates must have a MD or equivalent and be board-certified in Internal Medicine by appointment start date. Board-eligibility or Board-certification in Medical Oncology is required.
