Purpose and Scope:
The Omni-Channel Data Lead will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and managing Non-Personal Promotional marketing data to support organization's data needs across various critical initiatives. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and accessibility of performance data from HCP and Consumer digital marketing campaigns.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Data Sourcing & Acquisition:
Identify, evaluate, and acquire external sources of non-personal marketing data, including campaign performance data, media spend, engagement metrics, and competitive benchmarks.
Build and maintain relationships with third-party data providers to ensure access to high-quality, reliable marketing data.
Partner with broader teams to identify data needs and develop delivery plan.
Conduct due diligence on data quality and reliability.
Data Onboarding:
Lead the onboarding process for newly sourced data, ensuring seamless integration into internal systems.
Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to develop and maintain data pipelines for consistent data flow.
Ensure data is properly formatted, validated, and transformed for use in marketing analytics and reporting.
Partner with IT teams in onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new data sources into the organization's data infrastructure.
Provide guideance to clean, standardize, and transform data to meet specific requirements.
Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata.
Data Management & Governance:
Oversee the storage, organization, and accessibility of promotional marketing data in compliance with internal governance standards.
Develop and enforce data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
Provide guidance on source, quality, context and usage of data based on business requirements/use cases
Clearly communicate any data issues with stakeholders.
Reporting & Automation:
Provide periodic updates on the data status.
Maintain a schedule for data delivery and loading.
Identify opportunities to process automation and improved efficiency.
Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies in marketing data management, advising the organization on potential improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
6+ years of experience in data management, with a focus on digital marketing datasets
Experience in sourcing, onboarding, and managing large datasets from external vendors.
Proficiency with a coding language (e.g. SQL, R, Python), MS Excel and Power Point , ETL/data processing tools.
Good understanding of marketing data types (campaign data, engagement metrics, media spend) and their applications.
Familiarity with marketing tech platforms like CM360, SA360, Meta.
Experience working with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
Ability to take a business problem and devise a data solution.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of Data models for platforms like CM360
Pharmaceutical industry experiences
Experience working with BigQuery
Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Working Environment:
This "home office" role is based in Canada
