  • Description We are in search of an Office Manager to join our team based in Columbus, Ohio. This role is pivotal within our legal firm and encompasses a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to, administrative tasks, HR-related duties, maintaining effective communication with external entities and ensuring the smooth running of the office. This position provides an opportunity for a contract that could lead to a permanent position.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensuring office supplies are ordered and tracked efficiently

    • Assisting in the interviewing process for additional positions within the firm

    • Posting job advertisements as necessary

    • Liaising with an external CPA for effective communication and system updates

    • Managing ADP and QB information updates

    • Developing and implementing office policies and procedures

    • Answering inbound calls and addressing queries or concerns

    • Conducting administrative office tasks with basic office skills

    • Assisting employees and engaging in employee-related activities

    • Handling immigration law related tasks

    • Overseeing billing and business correspondence

    • Ensuring the employee handbook is up to date and adhered to

    • Administering human resources tasks effectively. Requirements - A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the legal industry

    • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, ensuring all client inquiries are effectively addressed

    • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar HR management software

    • Knowledge of immigration law, demonstrating the ability to support legal processes within the firm

    • Experience in maintaining and ordering office supplies, ensuring the smooth operation of the office

    • Proven experience in managing administrative office tasks, demonstrating basic office skills

    • Experience in a law office setting, with an understanding of legal office requirements

    • Ability to conduct interviews, assisting in the hiring and onboarding process

    • Experience in billing and business correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate communication with clients

    • Skill in composing correspondence, showcasing excellent written communication abilities

    • Ability to provide employee assistance and engagement, creating a positive work environment

    • Experience in creating and updating the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with company policies

    • Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) Administration, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR practices and principles TalentMatch®
