  • An Occupational Therapist 3 is an experienced and skilled clinician who is recognized for knowledge and skills by their peers and often consulted for their expertise. The Therapist 3 contributes independently to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care service delivery across the continuum of care. A therapist at this level demonstrates effective leadership and functions consistently and autonomously in this role. This level of therapist effectively negotiates the health care system to maximize the delivery of quality care and to minimize cost. The Therapist 3 completes administrative and clinical projects and supervises and mentors staff and students as assigned by the supervisor.

    • Performs occupational therapy evaluations according to professional standards and departmental guidelines.

    • Demonstrates knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled occupational therapy intervention.

    • Actively participates in professional growth of self and others.

    • Actively participates in quality improvement and program development.

    • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

    Position Compensation Range: $71,988.80 - $115,190.40 Annual

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy

    Experience: 3 years relevant experience

    Licensure: Licensed to practice in Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. New grads must be licensed within 6 months of hire.; American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Job requires frequently bending/stooping/traveling (distance: ½ mile). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
