  • Job Description

    The APRN or PA will work in a collaborative team effort to provide a complete scope of care for cardiology patients. The provision of care includes but is not limited to analyzing pathophysiology for various cardiovascular disease processes, developing cardiovascular diagnoses while formulating a treatment plan and evaluate patient response to treatment, and utilizing evidence-based medicine practices using quality, cost-effective care. Work may also include seeing patients for specific issues such as hypercholesterolemia, heart failure, medication titration, or other.

    Position Details: - See patients in the clinic setting - Educating patients and families regarding cardiovascular disease process, including primary and secondary cardiac prevention, while remaining cognizant of the patient's emotional, physical and cultural needs - Providing effective communication and presentation skills with the interdisciplinary team.

    This position may also provide occasional outreach clinic coverage to Southern Minnesota, upon completion of successful onboarding and training (after approximately 12 months).

    Qualifications

    Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP or ANP. Doctorate preferred.

    Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice.

    BLS required. Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
