  • Aerotek is seeking an HR assistant/trainee to partner with a manufacturing company. Candidate will be directly partnered with Aerotek.

    "We are looking for someone who will be able to come into the facility and provide that immediate impact to the team in the realm of training, administering the New Hire Orientation, and helping to assess trainees' capabilities."

    Duties:

    • Taking over leading the New Hire Orientation classes

    • This may include taking on some of the HR responsibilities too (i.e. I9 documentation collection, boot voucher issuance, safety glasses voucher issuance, etc.)

    • Orientation Week is a time intensive week for several people in the factory, the more the person is able to take on and own that week, the better.

    • Updating & maintaining our Skills Matrix.

    • We have built a skills matrix that shows where each teammate is currently qualified in the factory and shows where our gaps in skill sets are, but we need someone who is going to own keeping it updated, enhancing it, and being able to use the data within the skills matrix to assign new training positions

    • Update & Communicate "Trainer & Trainee" posting

    • We keep a posting in the supervisor office that has all the trainers for each shift, their position, and who they are training. This person will be responsible for maintaining this posting and keeping it current.

    • Owns meeting with supervisors, trainers, and trainees weekly on all four (4) shifts

    Role is contract, with at least a year of guaranteed work.

    Pay is negotiable depending on prior experience.
