    Responsibilities

    The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking a Neurocritical Care Neurologist to join the inpatient practice. The department includes nearly 100 board-certified neurologists, offering highly skilled, state-of-the art neurological care.

    Qualifications

    Candidates must have an M.D. or equivalent and be board-certified in Neurology by the ACGME/ABPN and board-certified or board-eligible by the ACGME/ABPN in neurocritical care. Because of the characteristics of our practice, candidates must be proficient in making emergency decisions regarding acute reperfusion therapy in ischemic stroke. They should also feel comfortable doing neurological consultations in other ICUs. Candidates must have experience and demonstrated expertise in the management of diverse, complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions referred to a large tertiary center that is a comprehensive stroke center and level 1 trauma center. Candidates must also have a demonstrated track record of academic success in research and education. The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a capacity to work collaboratively with other disciplines, specialties, and neurological sub-specialties.

    Compensation Detail

    The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $194,250 to $616,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
