    We are seeking a Principle System Engineer - Network Virtualization Engineer SME to work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date.

    What You Will Do:

    • YOU will be a primary Network Virtualization Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program.

    • YOU will be responsible for helping junior engineers with tasks if needed.

    • YOU will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites.

    • YOU will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.

    • YOU must embody accountability for their actions and faults equally and genuinely.

    • YOU must be of a mindset of respect for themselves, their teammates and demonstrate a general desire to want to better themselves and the efforts of their team.

    • YOU will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing all Virtualization for their project.

    • YOU must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, to execute job duties such as deployments.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Proven systems engineer with hands-on high-level experience and knowledge of virtualization design, development, and testing methodologies.

    • Experience with VMware, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and Storage integrations like NAS/SAN. (Preferred experience VMWare Cloud Foundation, NSX, and ARIA (vRealize))

    • Must have an in-depth understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols, network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.

    • Must be possess automation framework experience (i.e., PowerShell, python, ansible, chef, puppet)

    • Must have Microsoft Windows server and Redhat server experience with multi-user applications.

    • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.

    • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers as well as independently on large field projects.

    • Must have experience using the Agile Framework or experience applying Agile fundamentals in engineer-focused work.

    • Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.

    • Must have an 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc. - DODI 8570 Requirement: IAT - Level II

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

    • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date. Candidate must have a SECRET clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.

    • Experience in implementing solution designs and operating environments that are compliant with all Federal and DoD guidance and policies.

    • Experience working as a Senior IT analyst that covers requirements analysis, system design, project management, and enterprise strategy.

    • Familiarity with Networking

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
