    Bell is seeking a Nondestructive Inspection Specialist to support operations at our facilities located in Fort Worth, Texas. This technical position is responsible for support required in the Quality Operations Nondestructive Testing Department. In this position you will participate in the development, execution, and oversite of x-ray and shearography inspections. You'll lead or assist manufacturing, engineering, quality and NDT related special projects and tasks in support of processes used in the manufacturing environment to ensure robust and cost-effective product. This role will be an integral part of the x-ray team and provides opportunity to gain experience with opportunity for career growth.

    What you'll be doing as an NDI Specialist

    Operates computed radiography, fluoroscope, portable x-ray and shearography systems.Completes process checksInspects parts in accordance with NDT specifications and procedures for various advanced materials, composites, metals and weldments in accordance with planning, procedures, blueprints, specifications, etc.Develops and reviews NDT procedures.Supports inspection, engineering and manufacturing personnel as needed for special inspectionsComputer data entry (various Manufacturing Execution Systems and Microsoft Office software)Requires some travel and shift flexibility depending on business need.

    Skills You Bring To this Role

    Minimum Qualifications:NAS 410 Level 2 or equivalent x-ray certification with experience in testing and inspection of aircraft components; weldments, metal and composite fabricated parts.Texas Industrial Radiographer Certification (Current or Qualified for Texas Exam)Documentation for previous certifications and/or classroom and on the job training experience.Capable of working autonomously under general supervision.Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.Ability to influence by utilizing BTI concepts to encourage and develop an understanding of the changing role of inspection through the use of teamwork among BTI employees.

    Preferred Qualifications

    NAS 410 Level 2 certification with experience in testing and inspection of aircraft components; weldments, metal and composite fabricated parts for any combination of the following methods: Shearography, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Penetrant, Magnetic Particle inspections.

    Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.Familiarization with BTI systems and procedures.

    What you need to be successful

    Bell is seeking an inquisitive and driven Nondestructive Inspection Specialist to support x-ray and shearography inspections at all facilities located in Fort Worth, Texas. We are looking for an inspector with a passion for growth and innovation.

    Previous X-ray Level 2 Certification in accordance with NAS 410Bachelor's degree with a Major in Engineering or science preferred. Related degrees with relevant NDT experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.2 years of NDT experience.
