    The N924 Strategic Integration Department is seeking a Group Leader (GL) to champion the continued high performance and professional growth of our staff. As a GL, you are a first-line supervisor responsible for developing and growing ~8 staff within the N924 Strategic Integration Department and serving as an active member of the department leadership team. GL duties comprise a level of effort of approximately 9%

    Group Leader responsibilities include

    • Staff Development, Engagement, and Recruiting:

    • Create a team culture that empowers speed, risk-taking, adaptability, grace and respect, and collaboration by modeling and encouraging these cultural attributes

    • Provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for all

    • Mentor group members to understand their career objectives, and to identify opportunities and development resources to grow professionally

    • Advise group members to develop goals that are measurable and have impact for MITRE and the sponsor

    • Track and assess group member performance and provide timely and relevant feedback to support ongoing development

    • Forecast workforce levels and skillset demands and support department talent acquisition efforts

    • Engage in staffing activities to match projects and staff, utilizing your network of MITRE connections

    • Recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions of group members

    Performance and Quality Management

    • Participate in regular discussions with project and task leads to ensure mutual understanding of expectations, performance, and growth opportunities

    • Promote quality of work products and participate in peer reviews

    • Ensure group members reach back to leverage MITRE's capabilities appropriately

    • Provide appropriate interventions and coaching when needed

    Required Qualifications (Required)

    • Current TS/SCI with Polygraph

    • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

    • 4 years' experience in a leadership role

    • Demonstrated desire to work with and mentor early career and experienced staff and to serve in a management role.

    • Extensive knowledge of MITRE's organizational structure, work programs, and Intelligence Center efforts

    • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.
