    The Department of Physical Plant at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Carpenter to join their team:

    Summary

    • Maintenance, installation and repair of carpentry items throughout the Hospital.- When needed, perform repairs and installation of basic Electrical systems; Plumbing systems; HVAC and Lock repairs; Painting, Patching and Wall Coverings.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains, repairs, replaces woodwork throughout the Hospital

    • Installs partitions, doors, frames, ceilings, etc

    • Repairs, replaces a variety of hardware, i.e. handles, hinges, closures, etc

    • Repairs, replaces sections of vinyl flooring and cove base

    • Works with blueprints and schematic designs

    Credentials

    Education or Equivalent Experience

    • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

    • Specialized training in carpentry and 4+ years full-time carpentry experience with a bona fide contractor or employer (Required)

    • Experience in Healthcare facilities (Preferred)
