    Fairview Health Services is hiring an Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist to join our MRI department at our M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center location in Wyoming, MN.

    Fairview Lakes Medical Center provides award-winning care to the communities northeast of the Twin Cities. We are a Level IV trauma center, providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day. We offer complete care for your whole family. Specialty services are available on-site in heart care, cancer care, childbirth, orthopedics, pediatrics and more.

    The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care tea

    Schedule : Casual - Day/Evening/Weekend Shifts

    Responsibilities Job Description

    Maintains patient care

    • Performs examinations

    • Identifies relevant data from images accurately

    • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional.

    • Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness

    • Documents patient information

    Ensures proper film identification on all images

    • Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging

    • Accurate film marking and jacket preparation

    • Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of proper positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment.

    Performs training and education duties

    • Participates in the orientation of new employees.

    • Responsible for the training of students

    • Participates in the training of health care professionals and new employees.

    Maintains equipment

    • Correctly operates equipment

    • Optimizes use of equipment

    • Understands the structure visualized and its significance

    Qualifications

    Required

    • ARRT Certification

    • Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before date of hire

    Preferred

    • 4-6 months of MRI Technologist experience

    • 1 year of MRI experience

    • IV venipuncture experience

    • Siemens MR scanner experience

    • MRI certification or requirement of successful completion within 18 months of hire
