    F airview Health Services is hiring a MRI Technologist to join our team at M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital location in Woodbury, MN.

    The MRI Technologist provides to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. Siemens scanner experience beneficial.

    Schedule :

    • 0.9 FTE - Baylor position

    • Typical Schedule: Saturday and Sunday; 11am-7pm

    Responsibilities Job Description

    The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

    Maintain patient care

    Perform examinations

    Identify relevant data from images accurately

    Communicate pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional

    Ensure patient safety and emergency preparedness

    Verify patient identification and documentation

    Communicate and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the procedure

    Achieve quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol

    Ensures patient data integrity

    Accurately completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner

    Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving

    Participate as an active team member

    Orient and mentor new employees and students

    Participate in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives

    Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position

    Clean and maintain rooms and supplies

    Provide integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.

    Contribute to a positive work environment

    Perform other duties as assigned

    Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines

    Identify and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly.

    Maintain a high level of competency

    Accept new technology as it's introduced into the facility

    Participate in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations.

    Qualifications

    Required

    Vocational/ Technical training or Associate Degree

    ARRT Registration or registry eligible with successful completion within 90 days

    Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements

    Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

    Preferred

    1-year experience as a technologist

    MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire
