  • Wolverine is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to work in Ft. Cavazos, TX.

    Responsibilities

    • The Motor Vehicle Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following:

    • Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.

    • In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.

    • Identification as Lead, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category.

    • Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years motor vehicle maintenance experience

    • Must be knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1

    • Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening

    • Must a minimum of a High School Diploma/Equivalent

    • Must have the ability to receive a favorable TIER 1 investigation

    Desired Qualification:

    • 3-5 year's maintenance experience preferred

    • US Army MOS 91/63 series qualification is desired

    • Experience on US Army tactical vehicles is desired

    • Valid Driver's license preferred

    • ASE Certified Preferred

    • HVAC EPA Tech Cert 608/609 a plus!

    • Emergency Vehicle Technician Certified ASE Certification desired

    Pay and benefits:

    Hourly Pay Rate: $21.67

    Physical Demands:

    Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions
