    The selected candidate will have an opportunity to be part of a large Environment, Health & Safety organization as a member of the business unit EH&S central team. The selected candidate must be a self-starter, energetic and able to work in a fast-pace collaborative team environment.

    This ideal candidate will have relevant experience implementing EH&S programs and will be responsible for daily coordination of Raytheon health and safety programs. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to prioritize and provide timely support for multiple customers, requests, and projects on a daily basis. The candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence internal and external groups including engineers, factory line employees, and management. The candidate should demonstrate a track record of continuous improvement related to EH&S programs.

    What You Will Do;

    This position will assist in the development and implementation of EHS initiatives, projects and programs that support the global EH&S organization

    Follow the EH&S Management system and work in a team environment to drive corporate and global EH&S initiatives.

    Develop, lead and implement health and safety programs including, but not limited to, electrical safety, explosives safety, non-ionizing/ionizing radiation, laser safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), cranes/hoists, fall protection, machine guarding, job hazard analysis, powered industrial vehicles, and others as assigned by management.

    Coordinate with site based EH&S teams to implement lessons learned and mitigations following serious incidents or near-misses.

    Serve as a technical resource to Raytheon employees within and outside of the EH&S organization, interpreting and applying OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC and other applicable regulations and standards.

    Apply CORE (Customer Oriented, Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvements to existing processes, practices the EH&S management system. Support in-depth analysis of the business for EH&S improvement opportunities and develops/implements programs to reduce risk and achieve and maintain compliance.

    Basic Qualifications

    The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

    U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

    Minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Understanding of engineering, manufacturing, field safety and EH&S management systems; experience working in a fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization.

    Continuous Improvement experience e.g. CORE, Six Sigma, LEAN etc. strongly desired. Strong technical, interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Solid working knowledge of EH&S regulatory and management systems, including compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety local/state/federal regulations. Additional certifications, such as CSP, CIH, or Certified Ergonomist strongly preferred.

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
