In this position...

At Ford Enterprise Technology, within Enterprise Platform Engineering and Operations organization we are looking for an eMail Services expert to design, manage, and maintain Enterprise Hybrid eMail Services with on-premises and Cloud components. Creativity and analytical thinking will be used to shape the design of eMail Services offerings to ensure successful deployment and use of eMail Services for users, groups and a variety of on-premises and Cloud applications while ensuring secure mail flow with certain external entities, with a focus on sustainability and global security compliance. As an expert, 3rd level support related to the eMail Services is also part of this space. This includes being on-point for any SLA breach operational issues working with the vendor support team to implement work around and restore service to normal operations.

This team is comprised of seasoned engineers committed to delivering high quality eMail technology related experiences and helping the business succeed. We are located in Dearborn, Michigan, but build the eMail Services experience to cover Ford Motor Company's entire global footprint. You will partner with internal and external resources to design systems aligned with technology roadmaps.

What you'll do...

Gather requirements for new eMail Services offerings and research SaaS / on-prem tools or technologies that meet those requirements and lead implementation of those solutions in compliance with Ford Information Security Policy

Develop API based integration automation solutions for onboarding, audits and other service management functions.

Engineer, implement, manage and provide 3rd level support for SaaS, Cloud, API based integration and / or on-premises eMail solutions for a variety of use cases for users, groups and applications eMail needs in Ford enterprise environment.

Lead eMail Services security and controls implementation to guard reputation of Ford owned eMail domains.

Working with Ford Network Services team; engineer, implement, manage and provide 3rd level support for secure external mail flow where necessary.

Provide 3rd level technical support for eMail Services components and custom tools

Author and maintain operations, security controls and technology lifecycle related documentation.

You'll have...

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a combination of education and equivalent experience

10+ years of experience managing and supporting Enterprise eMail Services

5+ years of experience in eMail Service automation using PowerShell Scripts

1+ year of experience in DevOps, CICD and REST API based development

Even better, you may have...

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

12+ years of experience managing and supporting Enterprise eMail Services

7+ years of experience in eMail Service automation using PowerShell Scripts

2+ years of experience in DevOps, CICD and REST API based development

Strong team leadership and multi-tasking skills

Expertise in Microsoft Exchange On-premises and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online technologies

Experience with IceWarp's Mirapoint eMail Gateway configuration, implementation and support.

Experience with network routing and DNS services

Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

Strong written and oral communication skills

Basic understanding of the Microsoft Graph API and secure application integration with M365/Exchange Online

Basic understanding of Database design and administration - MSSQL / PostgreSQL / MYSQL
