Medical Scheduler

Description

We are offering a role in the Health Insurance industry located in Salem, Oregon. The job function is a Medical Scheduler, and the workplace is an office setting within the home health sector. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity where you will utilize your skills in Technologies, EHR System, EPIC, MEDITECH, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, About Time, Billing Functions, Clinical Trial Operations, Customer Service, and Data Entry.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and addressing customer inquiries efficiently

• Handling the scheduling of medical appointments, including secondary appointments

• Managing appointment plotting and ensuring smooth coordination of schedules

• Utilizing various software, including Epic, for scheduling and data entry tasks

• Assisting in billing functions and clinical trial operations as required

• Providing excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally

• Performing data entry tasks accurately, updating and maintaining customer records

• Adapting to a dynamic environment with multiple moving parts, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills

• Ensuring all tasks and operations adhere to the required standards and regulations.

Requirements - Proven experience in a Medical Scheduler role or similar position within the health insurance industry

• Proficiency in using Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, MEDITECH, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites

• Familiarity with About Time, Billing Functions, Clinical Trial Operations is preferred

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in Medical Administration is a plus
