Medical Receptionist

Description

The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a notable healthcare network in the Avon area to find a Medical Receptionist to join their team. The ideal candidate is friendly, enthusiastic and excellent communication. Must have understanding of HIPPA and how to follow it.

Hours for the Position

• Monday 8a - 5:30a

• Tuesday 8a - 5:30p

• Wednesday 10a - 5:30p

• Thursday 9:30a - 5:30p

• Friday 8a - 4p

Responsibilities for the position include the following

• Greet patients and visitors in person and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner.

• Schedule appointments for patients and confirm appointments as needed.

• Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays.

• Process paperwork and maintain patient records.

• Answer patient questions and provide assistance as needed.

• Direct patients to the appropriate departments or providers.

• Maintain the reception area clean and organized.

• Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in a medical setting preferred.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills required.

• Understanding of HIPPA and how to follow it

• Exposure to Health Insurance a plus
