    Responsibilities

    The Mayo Clinic Health System department of hematology & oncology is seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our Minnesota practice. This position will have a primary practice in the newly-constructed cancer center in New Prague, MN and will join a team of 9 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers in the Mayo Clinic Health System Minnesota medical oncology practice. On-site chemotherapy and radiation oncology services are provided by a dedicated support team including radiation oncologists, nursing staff, clinical pharmacist, genetic counselors, social services, and other support staff.

    The practice includes a mix of medical oncology and hematology with access to clinical trials. The Mayo Clinic Health System Department of Medical Oncology has close collaborative relationships with Mayo Clinic Rochester, Arizona, and Florida. Opportunities also exist for practice, research and/or teaching through partnerships with Mayo Clinic Rochester Medical Oncology and Hematology.

    Schedule details

    • A typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 PM.

    • Call will be shared amongst the provider team and assigned evenly throughout the year.

    • Potential outreach 1-2 days a week to other locations within the Minnesota practice or Rochester, MN.

    Qualifications

    Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Oncology and Hematology and qualify for a Minnesota state medical license.

    Compensation Detail

    The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $194,250 to $616,00. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
