  • Job Title: Medical Office Assistant

    Job Description

    As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling phone calls and visitors with discernment and courtesy. Your responsibilities will include determining the needs of callers or visitors and addressing them in accordance with department or hospital policies. You will be tasked with scheduling patient appointments, coordinating with other medical offices, confirming appointments, and providing patients with necessary procedure or test instructions. Additionally, you will manage calendars for physicians and staff, make travel arrangements, and prepare expense reports. You will also handle preliminary patient registration, update patient information, and ensure all demographic and insurance details are accurate.

    Work Site

    This is a fully on-site position in Rockville, Maryland.

    Work Environment

    The work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, handling 10-20 patients per day. Training will be conducted onsite at WHC.
