    Job Description

    Performs clinical laboratory procedures and examinations pursuant to established, approved protocols which require limited independent judgment and review. Assists in training students, new employees and other Hospital personnel.

    Job Responsibility

    1.Performs a variety of reviewed laboratory procedures relevant to the particular work going on in the laboratory.

    2.Prepares and tests specimens for examination.

    3.Keeps accurate records.

    4.Operates and maintains laboratory equipment.

    5.Ensures and maintains quality control and assurance activities.

    6.Maintains the laboratory area in a clean and orderly manner.

    7.Performs related duties, as required.

    Job Qualification

    • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

    • Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Basic Science or related field, preferred.

    • Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technician, required.

    • Previous experience in a medical laboratory, preferred.

    The salary range for this position is $39.83-$48.57/hour
