  • Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Insurance Claims Specialist in STERLING HEIGHTS, Michigan. This role is situated in the Health Insurance industry and involves intricate tasks such as reconciliation of integrated accumulator exchanges and claims processing. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment, handling a variety of responsibilities related to healthcare billing and claims.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitate reconciliation of integrated accumulator exchanges between clients and vendors in a timely and accurate manner

    • Handle reconciliation work and the associated claim adjustments in the system

    • Assist in the onboarding and testing of new vendors, vendor changes, and new or changing regulations impacting integrated accumulators

    • Conduct ongoing audit of reports to ensure timely and accurate data exchanges with vendors

    • Process and adjust claims, researching claims as necessary

    • Utilize knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) in executing job duties

    • Leverage skills in Microsoft Excel for efficient data management

    • Work independently, demonstrating proficiency in healthcare billing and claims in the healthcare industry. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in the health insurance industry

    • Proven ability in processing medical insurance claims

    • Strong knowledge and understanding of medical billing procedures, including UB92

    • Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes in the healthcare industry

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software

    • Experience in healthcare billing, healthcare claim, and the overall healthcare industry

    • Ability to interpret and understand medical and insurance terms

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Willingness to stay updated with changes in healthcare regulations and insurance policies.
