Job Title: Medical Education Coordinator
Department: Neurosurgery
Location: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania- 3400 Spruce St
Hours: Full Time
Coordinates daily education office administrative operations for the GME Programs under the direction of the Department Education Director. This position requires collaboration with the education team, GME office, subspecialty program directors and other department personnel.
Facilitates equipment ordering, trainee reimbursement process, professionally related education expenditures and division related invoices.
Coordinates functions relating to house staff on-boarding, licensing, orientation and trainings, rotations and compliance.
Coordinates Graduation and year end and alumni reporting for Residents and Fellows.
Facilitate processes relating to resident recruitment in support of the Recruitment Selection Chair.
Set up Conferences, evaluations and personalized teaching - Residency Programs.
Oversee the collection of accurate files on residents, including verifications, learning portfolios and items for CCC meetings, PEC meetings and SAR forms.
Maintains proficiency in Medical Education databases, ensures data is complete, accurate and up to date
Generates various reports as requested.
Coordinates rotators and observers process for incoming and outgoing to Penn Medicine.
Various administrative tasks related to GME programs, as directed by the department education director.
Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
Education Specialization:Business Administration or HealthcareEquivalent Experience: Or 3+ years Administrative (assistant/coordinator), and/or Education or Academics experience.
