    Our client located in Bellaire, TX is seeking a Medical Collections Manager. The Collections Manager must have 7+ years in the Healthcare industry and 5+ years in a Collections Manager position. The Collections Manager will manage a team of 10 Collectors and will be partnering with 3 other managers and the Director of Revenue Cycle. The Collections Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the team, as well as process improvements. This is a direct hire opportunity paying up to 85K plus benefits working 4 days in office and 1 day from home.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the team's medical collections processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy

    • Implement and manage process improvements within the collections department

    • Develop team members' understanding and knowledge of collection processes and medical insurance billing

    • Collaborate with management and other teams to enhance the overall revenue cycle

    • Utilize Microsoft Office Suites to maintain accurate records and manage customer inquiries

    • Manage and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary

    • Handle medical terminology, ensuring it is used correctly and appropriately within the team

    • Work towards process improvement in all aspects of the role

    • Ensure customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently

    • Maintain accurate customer credit records.

    Requirements - Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or a similar role.

    • Proficient knowledge of Collection Processes is required.

    • Experience in Medical Collections is a must.

    • Must have a solid understanding of Collections Management.

    • Familiarity with Medical Insurance Billing is essential.

    • Basic Medical Terminology knowledge is required.

    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suites are necessary.

    • Demonstrated ability in Process Improvement is important.

    • Candidates should have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards is essential.

    • Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.

    • Strong problem-solving skills are required.

    • Familiarity with laws and regulations related to debt collection is necessary.
