Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are in search of a Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team located in Raeford, North Carolina. The primary function of this role is to handle customer applications, maintain customer records accurately, and resolve customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions. This is a long term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare and social assistance industry.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Handle inquiries from customers promptly and effectively

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

• Provide support in medical billing processes. Requirements - Proficiency in Medical Billing systems and procedures

• Strong understanding of healthcare terminology and insurance practices

• Familiarity with medical codes such as ICD-10 and CPT

• Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion

• Demonstrated expertise in managing patient billing queries

• Proficient in using medical software for billing and scheduling

• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accurate record keeping

• Excellent organizational skills to manage large volumes of patient records

• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and insurance companies

• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare providers

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

• Proven problem-solving skills to resolve billing discrepancies and errors

• Ability to follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements concerning medical billing procedures and documentation

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex billing reports

• Willingness to stay updated on new medical billing software and technologies.
