Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist to become a part of our team in the healthcare industry located in French Camp, California, United States. As a Medical Billing Specialist, your role will involve processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and responding to customer inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Keep precise records of customer credit

• Provide specialized and complex information to managers, patients, and outside agencies

• Collect, process, and maintain specialized and complex information related to departmental operations

• Research, compile, maintain, and process statistical, financial, and other numerical data to support specialized office functions

• Perform clerical, technical, financial case management, applying advanced knowledge of administrative, legal, financial, and program-related requirements

• Prepare a variety of complex reports and documents requiring advanced knowledge of specialized subject matter

• Utilize skills in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, Epaces, Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Claim Administration

• Coordinate case activities with detail-oriented staff and other work units as appropriate

• Advocate on behalf of clients within limits of authority Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Billing Specialist within the healthcare industry

• Proficient in the use of Allscripts and Cerner Technologies

• Demonstrated ability to utilize Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)

• Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM and Epaces is essential

• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in handling Appeals in a healthcare setting

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions within the healthcare industry

• Proficiency in executing Billing Functions in a medical environment

• Ability to manage Claim Administration effectively
