JOB SUMMARY:

G.E.O. Heat Exchangers is looking for a Mechanical Engineer experienced in the design of ASME Sec. VIII Div 1 Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for the knowledge and application of ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 Code and TEMA Recommendations.

• Assess customer-specific design specifications and apply them throughout the entirety of the design process.

• Provide detailed mechanical calculations that will be used for drafting and fabrication.

• Communicate with customer on technical issues and/or concerns that may arise.

• Provide Bill of Materials with customer specific material and testing notes.

• Review customer purchase orders for accuracy in regard to scope of work

• Working knowledge and understanding of ASME Sec. VIII Div.1 Code, TEMA Recommendations, and API 660.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Ability to create 2D AutoCAD Drawings.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design for heat exchangers and pressure vessel manufacturing is preferred.

• Familiarity with various construction materials covered in ASME Sec. 2.

• Knowledge and understanding of the fabrication process.

• Ability to work independently after proper training and manage time efficiently.

• Review customer-supplied specifications, drawings, and equipment documentation.

• Skilled in trigonometry and geometry.

SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word is required

• Proficiency in Heat Exchanger design software (RCS, CodeCalc, PV Elite)

• Knowledge of AutoCAD

• Knowledge of Solidworks
