Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a leading medical manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic group supporting innovative product development and manufacturing processes. Location: Durham, North Carolina

Pay Range: $35/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Work with the procurement team to identify replacement components that have gone end of life or have increased in cost, updating design files accordingly.

• Design sheet metal, plastic, and machined parts and assemblies for use in automation equipment.

• Analyze and test the design of parts and assemblies to ensure they meet design specifications, cost goals, and manufacturability requirements.

• Contribute to a multidisciplinary research and development team to conceptualize innovative new systems related to pharmaceutical automation.

• Document part and system designs for sourcing, inspection, and internal use.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.

• 2+ years of related work experience.

• Previous experience with solid modeling and analysis tools; SolidWorks experience preferred.

• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
