  • Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

    Join our engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will engage in new design projects from concept to completion. You will have the opportunity to make design changes, create new designs, and ensure the quality of products as they are manufactured and shipped. This role involves a significant amount of project management, including receiving assignments from management, reviewing and discussing projects, gathering data, and brainstorming initial ideas before executing the work. You will also perform reverse engineering, redesign projects, and change materials, while interacting closely with other teams on the floor.

    Hard Skills

    • Solidworks

    • Experience with sheet metal, tubing, bending, wiring, wood manufacturing, cabinetry, furniture design

    • PDM (file management)

    Soft Skills

    • Ability to run their own projects

    • Strong communication skills

    • Problem-solving and coming up with innovative ideas and solutions

    Job Type

    This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

    Work Site

    This is a fully on-site position in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

    Work Environment

    The work environment consists of about 60% wood and 40% metal-based projects. You will be actively involved on the manufacturing floor, working collaboratively with other teams.
