Materials Developer III (7189-1)

Location: Beaverton, OregonJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $31 - 36 per hourWe are seeking a Materials Developer to create zippers, shoelaces, snaps, buttons, drawstrings, and other trims for a temporary contract role through June 2025. This onsite position requires you to be in Beaverton 4 days a week. You’ll partner with design teams to deliver seasonal trim palettes, bringing new innovations to life while ensuring aesthetics and quality. Partner with design to define, create, and deliver core and seasonal trim palettes with a focus on aesthetics and quality.

Provide a pulse on industry direction and bring new innovations to life.

Work effectively within the materials team to ensure a thoughtful approach to developing new trims prioritized in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

A strong development background in a variety of trim types as well as an understanding of garment application will ensure delivery of great product.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Textile Science, Apparel Engineering, Apparel/Industrial Design, or related field.

Minimum 3 years' relevant work experience in material development, product development or design.

2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Team player attitude and strength in building positive working relationships.

Expertise in Trim development (techniques, technologies, and application).

Connection to trend and consumer insights. Ability to be creative and technical.

Understanding of design and development process from inception through final adoption.

Proactive problem solving and information seeking-skills.

Ability to build a strategic plan/roadmap around key projects and execute to completion.

Strong Multi-tasking skills and ability to move with agility through ambiguity.

Exceptional communication skills, including strong presentation skills.

Experience communicating and collaborating with global partners.
