  • Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group Kelly OCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Material Planner/ Logistics Coordinator for a year-long engagement at one of our Global client in Fishers, IN . This role is a full-time, fully benefited position. As a Kelly OCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K, and a variety of other benefits to choose from. You'll also be eligible for paid time off, including holiday, vacation, and sick/personal time. All Kelly OCG employees receive annual performance review.

    Shift : Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

    Compensation: $29-$38/hr DOE

    Position Summary: The Material Planner is responsible for managing and coordinating the supply of materials essential for clinical research within the pharmaceutical sector. This role requires expertise in SAP, supply chain management, handling dangerous goods, and coordinating logistics involving shore resources and air freight. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless flow of materials, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and support clinical trials by guaranteeing that all necessary materials are available on time and within budget.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Material Planning & Procurement:

    • Develop and execute material plans to support clinical research and trials.

    • Forecast material requirements based on clinical trial schedules and protocols.

    • Manage procurement activities, ensuring the timely delivery of materials from suppliers.

    • Supply Chain Management:

    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

    • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain the flow of materials.

    • Utilize SAP to track inventory, orders, and material movements within the supply chain.

    • Logistics Coordination:

    • Coordinate the transportation of materials, including air freight and shore resources, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.

    • Oversee the handling of dangerous goods, ensuring adherence to all safety and regulatory guidelines.

    • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure high service levels.

    • Compliance & Safety:

    • Ensure all materials are compliant with regulatory standards.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations regarding the transportation and handling of hazardous materials.

    • Collaborate with quality assurance and compliance teams to address any regulatory concerns.

    • Data Management & Reporting:

    • Use SAP for accurate tracking and reporting of material status, inventory levels, and logistics data.

    • Generate reports on material usage, supply chain performance, and cost management.

    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in material planning processes.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with clinical operations and quality assurance teams to align material supply with project timelines.

    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on material availability and any potential issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

    • 3-5 years of experience in material planning, supply chain management, or logistics, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

    • Proficiency in SAP and other supply chain management software.

    • Experience with handling and transporting dangerous goods, including knowledge of relevant regulations.

    • Strong understanding of logistics operations, including air freight and shore resources.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in clinical supply chain management or clinical trial operations.

    Working Conditions:

    • Office environment with logistics coordination and site meetings.

    • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
