As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our work that is improving the way lung diseases are diagnosed and treated.     If you're passionate about healthcare, an internship at Biodesix offers a chance to grow professionally while addressing complex challenges in lung disease diagnostics. As part of our summer intern team, you'll gain hands-on experience in our Marketing Department and receive valuable feedback to support your development. At the end of your internship, you'll present your project deliverables to the Executive Team and our department leaders.

    INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

    Biodesix focuses on lung disease diagnostics, with a strong pipeline of clinical tests. The Marketing Strategy Intern will develop a market landscape for an existing or potential product. The final deliverable will be a presentation to senior leadership that outlines the disease, unmet clinical need, competition, viable technologies, and strategic portfolio fit.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect inputs for department projects.
    • Work with the marketing team to understand the clinical diagnostics industry and business objectives.
    • Attend meetings and support ongoing marketing projects.
    • Conduct market research on a specific lung disease, diagnostic treatments, and emerging technologies.
    • Conduct voice-of-customer research to identify unmet needs.
    • Develop a target product profile for a diagnostic test to address the unmet need.
    REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION
    • Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
    • Concentration in marketing, with interest in product development.
    • Strong market research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and business case development.
    • Ability to create clear, concise presentations with findings and recommendations.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    COMPENSATION
    Hourly Rate $21.00
