    The Stanford Maternal & Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI) seeks aMarketing Manager to join the Institute as an integral member of the administrative team. The Marketing Manager will promote all Institute initiatives and research accomplishments of its members. MCHRI seeks skills to use as we manage communications that keep the Institutes' 900+ members and key stakeholders informed, engaged and connected.

    The Marketing Manager will develop strategic communication plans, create original content for articles, websites, video and other forms of digital media, execute multi-channel communications, collaborate with stakeholders, and partner with communications colleagues to build awareness and strengthen the MCHRI identity and key messaging to reach the target audiences.

    The Marketing Manager will direct the development and implementation of marketing initiatives for high impact offerings, enabling programs, services, events and/or products to meet business objectives. In addition, to enhance our programs and services, the Marketing Manager will identify and implement process improvements and direct cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

    Duties include:

    • Recommend and execute marketing strategies to meet business objectives.

    • Manage marketing plans/programs to meet business objectives, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendor partners.

    • Implement integrated marketing communications and brand strategy, across a variety of channels (i.e., website, digital and print).

    • Oversee design and production of marketing materials from inception to deployment.

    • Conduct market research, including competitive benchmarking, and analyze campaign/program/ service/event effectiveness used to inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation and customer targeting.

    • Plan and execute events to support marketing objectives (i.e. Research Symposium).

    • Manage vendors/consultants on specific projects.

    • May oversee interns and other contingent staff; provide staff training - Other duties may also be assigned

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5 years of experience in Marketing

    • Knowledge of AEM platform, Adobe Suite, Social Media & Email Marketing techniques desired.

    • Intermediate knowledge of Science and Medical Field to create collateral & articles desired.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

    Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

    • Previous experience in product, program, and/or services marketing.

    • Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal.

    • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Understands how to implement integrated marketing programs across channels including digital and print.

    • Experience with market research and data analysis.

    • Demonstrated problem solver.

    • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*

    • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.

    • Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.

    • Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.

    • Rarely sort/file paperwork.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Occasional work on evenings and weekends.

    Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the University reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs. The pay range for this position working in the California Bay area is $108,450.00- $133,077.00 / annually.
