Summary

We are looking for an innovative and results-driven Customer Marketing Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance both independent operator and distributor engagement and drive Simplot brand loyalty. This will also include planning/executing national industry events. Finally, a key imperative to this role will be effectively educating internal stakeholders on the industry and customer trends to ensure alignment and a proactive approach to market changes

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive customer marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and increase customer engagement across various segments & menu types.

• Event Planning, Execution and Attendance: Plan, organize, manage and attend customer-focused national events such as the National Restaurant Association Show and other menu-type focused shows as needed. Build promotional activities to create positive brand experiences and foster relationships with customers and distributors.

• Education and Training: Develop and conduct training sessions and workshops for internal stakeholders, focusing on marketing strategies, customer insights, and key campaigns, as well as educating them on industry trends and consumer insights to promote consistent messaging across the organization.

• Demand Creation - Lead campaign management and content creation including integrated marketing campaigns, promotions, digital marketing, aimed at boosting customer trial, conversion and sales.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product marketing, culinary, training and strategic marketing teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives and ensure timely product launches.

• Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and events, using metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and optimize future initiatives.

• Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain robust relationships with key customers and stakeholders, leveraging feedback to refine marketing strategies.

Typical Education

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, customer marketing, event planning or related fields within the food industry or a related consumer goods field.

Other Information

• Strong understanding of customer segmentation, industry trends, and targeting strategies.

• Proven experience in developing and executing successful sales plans, marketing campaigns and/or events.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and consumer insights.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on storytelling and brand messaging.

• Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems and digital marketing channels.

• Travel up to 25%.
