    Spartan Logistics is a third-party logistics (3PL) company headquartered in Columbus, OH. We specialize in a unique logistics model: We own and operate our own warehouses, fleet, forklifts, and other key equipment. We have decades of experience in fast-moving inventory, especially food and beverages, and also are veteran handlers of glass, paper, automotive supplies, and more. With our staff of more than 350, we operate over 4 million square feet of warehouse space strategically placed throughout Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas.

    We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Toledo, OH. This person will be responsible for supporting and executing the company's marketing initiatives. This role involves creating and distributing marketing materials, managing digital content, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the company's online presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Spartan Logistics' brand, its history, and its capabilities, with the ability to confidently communicate this information to both internal teams and external prospects.

    What You'll be doing as a Marketing Coordinator:

    • Develop a deep understanding of Spartan's history, facilities, and capabilities.
    • Confidently communicate the company's story and offerings to internal teams and potential clients.
    • Design and distribute marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, maps, brand kits, and advertisements.
    • Prepare customized presentations for new prospect meetings.
    • Write blog posts, case studies, and other relevant content for external marketing channels.
    • Manage website content, ensuring it remains updated, fresh, and accurate, including pictures/videos, service listings, and backlinks.
    • Create and manage content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram) and ensure regular posting.
    • Use HubSpot marketing tools daily to track content performance, website traffic, and social media/email activity.
    • Maintain and present marketing scorecard performance metrics in weekly meetings.
    • Act as the first email contact for incoming leads and assist the sales team by participating in introductory calls via phone/Teams to assess prospect needs and potential fit.
    • Collaborates with the sales team to develop campaign content for locations with available warehouse space.
    • Manage the customer and company database on HubSpot, creating targeted lists for various marketing campaigns.
    • Maintain Google location pages, ensuring that all locations are verified, visible on maps, and have up-to-date pictures and accurate information.
    • Manage SEO and Google rankings weekly through SEMrush SEO software to ensure Spartan ranks for key search terms.
    • Conduct regular website audits to identify and address any issues affecting search engine rankings.
    • Assist in creating press releases for major company announcements.
    • All other duties assigned.

    Requirements:

    What You'll need to be Successful:

    • Good character and integrity!
    • Associate degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
    • Previous internship or 1-2 years' experience in a marketing role.
    • Willingness to be actively engaged in the sales process with a proactive approach.
    • Experienced in creative content development, including graphic design.
    • Background in logistics and 3PL operations, with a strong preference for candidates with relevant experience.
    • Expertise in content generation, producing high-quality and compelling materials.
    • Highly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced working knowledge.

    This is a Full-Time, non-exempt position. The role is primarily office-based during standard working hours with some remote work flexibility. Occasional long hours are required as needed. Compensation is $26-28 per hour, based on experience.

    Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
