  • Adecco Staffing is assisting a well-known Medical Device Manufacturing facility in Chelmsford MA with their needs for a Manufacturing Set Up Technician on 2nd shift.

    Hours: 1pm - 9pm, Monday-Friday

    Pay: $25 - $30/HR with 10% differential

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Manufacturing set up Technician will perform start up, tooling verification and release , preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to machines and equipment. To be successful in this role you must be able to disassemble, repair and reassemble machinery and manufacturing equipment with minimal instruction. This position is responsible for supporting production by preparing the equipment for use, performing change overs, inspecting and verifying the tooling and troubleshooting and analyzing issues, equipment failures, to make necessary adjustments and repairs to machinery, regularly inspecting equipment, and diagnosing malfunctions. Applies advanced working knowledge and experience to independently improve maintenance techniques and operations in a highly regulated GMP environment under the guidance and direction of the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform the shift set up by start equipment and utilities by following the process.

    • Ensure the right tooling installed, and the corrected parameters used for production.

    • Run samples after change over and fill the forms for the Device History Record

    • Check and verify the tooling for each batch, before and after

    • Control and verify, fill the Raw material and consumables.

    • Troubleshoot/ repair electro-mechanical machines failures by disassembly and inspection of components.

    • Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting.

    • Determine root cause of failure and correct condition to prevent reoccurrence.

    • Report the down time and document all the repair activities.

    • Follow up on repairs with observation and monitoring of equipment after it is in service to confirm successful repairs.

    • Document and perform predictive and preventive maintenance to maximize time between failures.

    • Perform checks and mechanical clearances as necessary to ensure proper operation.

    • Research, develop, and document critical spare parts for equipment.

    • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    • Write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively communicate issues to engineers and management.

    • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

    • Work well under pressure and to remain flexible to changing demands.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

    • Has the proven ability to work independently and learn quickly.

    • Recognizes issues and recommends cost effective solutions to management.

    • A High School Diploma or Vocational High School Diploma focused on equipment repair with practical experience.

    Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
