Job Description

This premier Maine-based company is looking for two talented Machinists to join their growing team. In this role, you will be operating various CNCs and manual machining equipment. You will be responsible for the complete setup and operation of the mill. Additionally, you will assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts. Attention to detail is crucial as you will be working with high-quality, expensive parts. You will also be responsible for stocking your station, remaining on task, following SOPs, and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate various CNCs and manual machining equipment.

• Complete setup and operation of the mill.

• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts.

• Maintain attention to detail with high-quality, expensive parts.

• Stock your station and remain on task.

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Read and interpret blueprints.

Essential Skills

• Previous manual machining experience.

• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.

• Ability to operate multiple axis milling machines.

• Ability to stay on task and follow SOPs.

• Comfortable standing on feet for 8-10 hours.

• Blueprint reading skills.

Work Environment

The schedule is for the 1st shift. Steel-toed shoes are required. The work environment is a large, open machine shop with moderate noise.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westbrook, Maine.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00
