    We are currently seeking a customer focused, highly energetic, and experienced leader to join our Payment Services Team as a Tax Research Manager. This role will have overall responsibility for leading and managing the production activities within the Tax Research team. This position is responsible for managing the people, processes and technology required to successfully complete the required production obligations timely and accurately. This position will be responsible for sponsoring technology initiatives to improve the operational performance of the team, the customer's experience, and the productivity of the team. Actively participate in the resolution of day-to-day issues that arise, including problems with customers, third parties, internal teams and our internal systems as needed.

    This is a hybrid role. The employee will be expected to work 3 days/week onsite at a US based UKG office

    Job Responsibilities

    • Effectively manage a team of 10-15 members

    • Ensure that all daily production requirements are completed ensuring the SLAs are met

    • Support Managers and Leadership with automation and transformation projects supported by business

    • Coach/mentor/guide the team

    • Communicate potential service issue or business issue to Leadership and draft/propose correction and mitigation plan

    • Foster relationships with internal stakeholders by establishing and maintaining exceptional business relationships and working collaboratively

    • Problem solving, time management and priority setting skills

    • Generate operational metrics to communicate and manage the performance of the production team

    • Engage in hiring

    • Implement quality control measures effectively

    • Demonstrate UKG core values

    Basic Qualifications

    • 8-10 years of total work experience

    • At least 5 years experience in US Payroll or HCM

    Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

    • Experience leading a direct team

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience will be considered

    • Working knowledge of UltiPro is a plus

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

    • Industry level payroll certification will be a benefit

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Conflict resolution

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks under stringent timelines

    • Highly motivated and team oriented

    The pay range for this position is $88,700 to $110,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
