    Job Summary:

    The Manager, Sales Operations role is highly dynamic and requires strong leadership, prioritization, organization, and communication skills. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated ability to support a core business process while focusing on accuracy, efficiency and process improvement. The role will focus primarily on the Retail Door to Door Sales engine, but will additionally require strong end-to-end systems knowledge across the business in order to holistically bridge departmental divides. The role will demand analytical and creative thinking, problem-solving, team management, and strong attention to detail.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Oversee D2D cross-functional integration of all new products, sales locations, markets, and processes, including gathering requirements, proposing processes, managing priorities, and over-seeing execution and deployment.

    • Serve as business owner of enrollment applications responsible for availability, accuracy and compliance of face-to-face and telemarketing sales channel flows.

    • Coordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of core enrollment software for sales and quality stakeholders.

    • Help manage key vendor relationships, including all day-to-day operations, while ensuring a strategic long-term vision is fostered.

    • Optimize and develop operational processes to reduce costs and increase efficiencies, through tactics such as process automation, enhanced reporting for greater visibility and control, and price negotiation.

    • Spearhead and manage large projects to enhance sales effectiveness, visibility, and compliance.

    • Lead, manage and develop an organization of highly talented and motivated Sales Operations employees who serve as main liaisons for face-to-face sales and marketing teams.

    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with sales management, quality, and marketing sales support functions.

    • Organize and present recommendations and team achievements to a variety of levels within the organization including senior leadership.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Working Conditions:

    • Open office environment - Hybrid.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, MIS, Business, or equivalent discipline.  Advanced degree a plus.

    • 5+ years of work experience; 1+ years of team management experience.  Knowledge of the utility and/or the deregulated energy industry preferred but not required.

    • 2+ years of specific experience in Sales or Operations in a consumer-facing product or service company.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Project management skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Ability to manage a team with competing priorities and initiatives.

    • Proven ability to adapt in a flexible and fast-paced environment.

    • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into requirements. Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.

    • Ability to take initiative and be proactive.

    • Expert user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Expert Presentation skills

    Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • SQL experience a plus
